As co-founders of the Akron Comicon, Robert Jenkins and I have been, and remain, long time fans. We see this opportunity as the ultimate step in our individual experiences as comic-book fans. As with anything new in life it’s a growing experience. These are our first steps in what we hope will grow to be a positive experience for everybody for years to come. If we make some mistakes along the way we hope that no one will be inconvenienced in any way. We promise to do our best to achieve success for everyone.

You’ve seen that moving company Two Men And A Truck? Well, we’re two guys and a passion for comics on a shoestring budget (I just described most of my comic-book friends). We hope you will join us as we build toward being a major event.

Thank you for your interest in the Akron Comicon. We feel that a comic-book convention is one of the best ways to help promote newspaper comics and comic-books as an American art form and viable entertainment medium. We are working hard to plan and present the best convention experience we can, for the fans, dealers and comic-book professionals.
